"This digital collage parodies Vermeer's famous painting Girl with a Pearl Earring by incorporating contemporary elements, including a commentary on the theme of the ravages of pornography, and the red rectangle, meanwhile, evokes the emblematic color of the streetwear brand Supreme , known for its links with skateboard culture and its controversial collaboration with Louis Vuitton, the ultimate symbol of luxury and capitalism.
Here, the ancient face remains silent, the modern band calls out to it: the painting becomes a clear collision between pictorial intimacy and contemporary assertion, both understated and impactful."
