"It's a painting that operates on two simultaneous layers — a cubist architecture in brown and beige, almost a framework, almost scaffolding, structuring the space like a construction site Braque. And through this framework, vegetal and organic forms assert themselves: crimson flames spiraling upwards, a central almond shape striped like a seed or a fish, blue petals bursting forth. It's nature regrowing through human construction. The tension between the brown geometry and the colorful organic form is the true subject of the painting."
