“A collage — and not just any collage. It’s in the grand tradition of Rauschenberg and Schwitters, but with an almost watercolor-like lightness. Newspaper fragments, what looks like a city postcard, an American flag in the corner, a red car in the lower right, pieces of printed documents — all of it submerged in flat areas of sky blue, yellow, orange, and soft green. It’s a memory gently, joyfully disintegrating. No tragedy here — rather, the lightness of what we’ve forgotten without suffering.”
